Exhuberance Is Best served Wet!!

(above): Russ Bruce has waited a long time for a shot like this so here it is.

A ridiculously consistent and clean groundswell over the last 3 days has left everybody totally depleted of saliva, broken bodies, broken boards and oh........ did you say photos???
I have a ridiculous amount of photos on hand so lets just roll em out.......
Hope you all got your share of waves and big-ups to Conal Parkes who was sick but decided to be a super GC and drove around filming crew surfing. Will adapt some of his results to the blog soon also.

(above): Leif Christenson on a boomerang, and some other average waves above.
A massive snow storm on the way and predicted 10metre swell right here...(note: Robin Hood bay).

(above): Russ dont surf sundays, but he blows up mondays and tuesdays.

Fifth System and Noble says No More.

As system number 5 in a row takes aim for Nelson this weekend it makes you wonder what all us cry baby's complain about during summer. The lack of waves over the warmer months is just a good excuse to travel to either coast. Metservice has issued a severe weather warning for Nelson this weekend with flooding likely so make sure to take care out there in your travels. Earlier in the week O.P and Nige Keeley scored some good Mangamanu down east whilst Keni Duke and Russ Bruce headed that way also yesterday with results yet to be decided.
(above): Whilst the crew tustled over Snappers last sunday a lone surfer walked south from Snappers and scored solo waves somewhere between there and there.

In other sad, yet understandable news, local ding repairer Geoff Noble has decided to cease ding-fixing operations winding down over the next couple of weeks to focus on his art tech and move away from harmful surfboard fixing related chemicals and environment. However there are a couple other fella's in the area who are keen to take on some of the workload and details of those guys will appear on blog soon.
Geoff is more than happy to offer advice though for those willing to tackle their own stuff. Members only of course!!! (jokes).* Personally I'd like to thank Geoff for helping all the boys (and girls) out with often generous discounts to club crew and lets face it, you can only breath in that shit for so long.

Thats about it and see you around the traps.

Heavier than Teahupoo??

An amazing Cable bay session going down this morning for those willing to make the drive and or hang around for more than 5 minutes as the sizey but sometimes lully swell filtered into the bay.
The small crew filled their boots with Olin Pilcher, Nigel Keeley and Mike Lindstrom on the inside whilst Ben Winmill, myself and Chris "Biggie"Biggam waited patiently for the outside bombs. Gary Miller finally found his form late in the session snagging a couple of connectors!!!
Photos snapped off when I got out of the water but stay tuned for more.......
I called the inside section  on a couple today "heavier than Teahupoo", and at 3 foot...... it probably is...
