I have lived in New Zealand for 11 years. Yesterday somewhere North of Kaikoura I saw the most intense waves I have witnessed in those years. Im not gonna rant about size cos it was 6 foot,  maybe bigger.
Hands down, waves of consequence. We bowed out and left it alone.

Seeking and Ye'shall Findings

A road trip saturday ended up with great waves all round and one humbling experience as myself and 3 others put our heads down and walked away from 6ft plus heaving beach/shorebreaks (photo to come) accepting that it was not what we came for and proceeded further north to find the above pictured spot firing on all cylinders.
